the night skies here are amazing when there are no clouds (often) since there is so little light pollution. There is not a street light to be had. Combine the lack of light with the sidewalk situation and night walking is a real challenge without a flashlight. yet the locals do it just fine! It is interesting to see skies that are at once reminiscent and yet totally unfamiliar. i have decided that the "Southern Cross" should be renamed the much more appropriate "Southern Kite".
Yep the sinks and toilets drain backwards too!
